Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 330101-00-20-05-02-00 is an industrial-grade 3300 XL 8 mm eddy current proximity probe. It functions as a non-contacting displacement sensor designed to measure static (position) and dynamic (vibration) parameters on critical rotating machinery. The system is widely utilized in heavy industries to monitor shaft vibration, axial position, thrust displacement, and rotational speed

Q:What system total length must I maintain for this probe?
A:This specific probe has an integrated 0.5-meter cable (-05 option). To ensure a standard 5.0-meter system setup, you must pair it with a 4.5-meter 3300 XL extension cable and a 5.0-meter 3300 XL Proximitor sensor.
Q:What is the standard "gap" voltage for setup?
A:When installing the probe on a standard machine target, the physical gap is normally set using a digital multimeter reading the DC voltage across the Proximitor. A standard center gap is -10.0 Vdc, which corresponds to roughly 1.27 mm (50 mils) of physical distance from the target. The linear range extends safely from -2.0 Vdc to -18.0 Vdc.

Q:How tight should I connect the miniature coaxial cable?
A:The cable features a gold-plated brass ClickLoc connector (-02 type). It requires finger-tight torque only. You will hear and feel a distinct "click" when it locks into place, preventing it from loosening under high vibration. Never use pliers or wrenches on a ClickLoc connector, as you will strip the internal locking mechanisms.
