Product Description:
The 330101-00-08-15-02-CN identifies a Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe. It is an eddy-current sensor used for real-time vibration and position monitoring in rotating industrial machinery. The 3300 XL 8 mm system delivers the most advanced performance in our eddy current proximity transducer systems. The standard 3300 XL 8 mm 5-meter system also fully complies with the American Petroleum Institute’s (API) 670 Standard for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. All 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems provide this level of performance and support complete interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, eliminating the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.
Application:
Power Generation:Steam/gas turbines, turbo generators, boiler feed pumps, ID/FD fans for radial vibration, thrust position, Keyphasor speed pickup. API 670 compliant for critical turbine protection.
Oil & Petrochemical:Centrifugal process compressors, refinery large pumps, pipeline booster units. Stable signal under moderate casing heat up to 177°C.
Heavy Industry:Steel furnace blowers, cement mill fans, mine ventilation equipment. Rugged PPS tip resists minor mechanical impact.
Chemical Plants:High-speed fluid-film bearing compressors, circulation pumps for continuous shaft orbit and bearing wear trending.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q:What matching system parts work with this 1.5m probe?
A:Pair with 5m rated 330180 Proximitor and 3.5m standard extension cable (330130-035). Sum of probe + extension length must equal Proximitor full length. 1.5m probe cannot be used with 1m Proximitor.
Q:How to install ClickLoc connectors?
A:XL to XL connectors only finger-tight until audible click. No tools needed. Mating with old non-XL stainless connectors: finger tight plus 1/8 turn plier twist. Connector protectors recommended for oil-prone enclosures.
Q:What target material is factory calibrated?
A:Factory calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. Aluminum, stainless steel shafts shift scale factor and void interchangeability specs. Custom target calibration available via -05 certification option.
