Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 200150-15-05 is a general-purpose, case-mounted piezoelectric accelerometer. It translates mechanical vibration into a differential voltage signal to help detect early faults in rotating machinery. The 200150 Accelerometer also operates with the Trendmaster 2000 system. The accelerometer interfaces with the 200100 Dual Acceleration to Velocity flexiTIM Module and the 89130-01 Acceleration-to-Velocity TIM, as well as the 1900/25 and 1900/27 monitors.

Q:How is this sensor calibrated?
A:You can field-verify the sensor accuracy using a Portable Vibration Calibrator (such as Model 9100D or 9110D). Set the calibrator to its reference point (80 Hz or 159.2 Hz) to verify if the output tracks smoothly at 100 mV/g.
Q:What are the torque specification guidelines for installation?
A:When attaching the accelerometer to the -15 mounting stud adapter, apply a mounting torque between 2.7 and 6.8 N·m (2 to 5 ft·lbf). Avoid over-tightening, as excessive torque can permanently distort or fracture the internal ceramic shear sensing element.
Q:Can standard industrial cables be used?
A:No, the 200150 requires a specialized 5-pin 1/2-20 molded cable assembly (such as the 200151 or 200152 series). These cables have a minimum 85% braided shield coverage with a drain wire to insulate low-noise signals from EMI/RFI. They feature an IP67 rating and use DC4 insulating compound at the connector joints to resist moisture penetration.
