Product Description:

The 190501-22-99-00 Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Its design specifically measures casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpm typical). The Velomitor CT Transducer can measure vibration amplitudes at these frequencies as well as the vibration frequencies generated by the fan motor and speed reducer.

Application:

Cooling Tower Fan Monitoring: The transducer is optimized for low-speed cooling tower fan assemblies, detecting unbalance, misalignment, and bearing wear by capturing rotor vibration transmitted to the casing.
Air-Cooled Heat Exchanger Fan Protection: It measures vibration velocity on ACHE fan assemblies operating at 90 rpm and above, enabling early detection of mechanical faults for preventive maintenance.
Petrochemical and Refinery Equipment Surveillance: With ATEX/IECEx and CSA hazardous area certifications, it is ideal for vibration monitoring on critical rotating machinery in explosive atmosphere zones within refineries and chemical plants.
Power Generation Cooling Systems: The sensor supports condition monitoring programs for large cooling fans and auxiliary rotating equipment in power plants, helping ensure reliable operation and reducing unplanned downtime.
