The Bently Nevada 190501-21-00-04 is a specialized Velomitor CT (Cooling Tower) Velocity Transducer manufactured. specifically for the casing velocity of cooling towers and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies.The Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Its design specifically measures casing vibration velocity on
cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpm typical). The Velomitor CT Transducer can measure vibration amplitudes at these frequencies as well as the vibration frequencies generated by the fan motor and speed reducer.
Application:
Power Generation Facilities: It guards induced-draft (ID) and forced-draft (FD) fans, water circulation pumps, and low-frequency hydro-turbine auxiliary systems.
Water & Wastewater Treatment: It monitors slow-turning aeration fans, heavy-duty industrial mixing equipment, and large-diameter intake pumps.
Oil & Gas Refineries / Petrochemical Plants: It is used heavily in these environments because the -04 agency approval protects against explosive atmospheres. It monitors low-speed pumps, agitators, and process cooling loops.
Cooling Towers & Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers (ACHE): The sensor primarily tracks structural casing vibration on massive, slow-moving fan blades, reduction gearboxes, and driving motors.

Q:What torque should be used during installation?
A:The recommended mounting torque is 4.5 N-m ± 0.6 N-m (40 in-lbf ± 5 in-lbf). Over-tightening can crack or warp the internal piezoelectric crystal elements, causing permanent calibration shift or false high-frequency signals.
Q:What are the polarity rules for wiring this transducer?
A:The sensor uses a two-pin MIL-C-5015 connector. Pin A is the positive terminal and Pin B is the common/negative terminal. Pin A goes positive relative to Pin B whenever the vibration movement travels from the base toward the top of the transducer housing.
Q:How does the "CT" version differ from a standard Velomitor?
A:The CT designation stands for Cooling Tower. Standard velocity sensors roll off sharply at low frequencies. The Velomitor CT is specifically tuned for lower frequencies to monitor heavy, slow-spinning fan blades that typically operate between 100 to 300 RPM (down to 90 RPM limits).
