Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 190501-08-00-01 is a specific configuration of the Velomitor CT (cooling tower) velocity sensor, belonging to the low-frequency piezoelectric velocity sensor category. The Velomitor CT velocity sensor is a low-frequency variant of the standard Velomitor piezoelectric velocity sensor. This product is specifically designed for measuring the vibration velocity of the casing of cooling towers and air-cooled heat exchanger fan components, suitable for equipment operating at speeds not less than 90 rpm (typically 100–300 rpm). This sensor can not only capture the aforementioned low-frequency vibration amplitudes but also effectively detect vibration frequency components generated by the fan motor and reducer.

A:No. Standard Bently Nevada 330500 Velomitors are designed for general machinery tracking and only read accurately down to 4.5 Hz. The 190501 CT is specifically tuned down to 1.5 Hz to catch the slower mechanical rotational forces of massive cooling tower fans.

Q:What installation torque should be used?
A:You must mount the transducer to a flat, clean surface with a torque rating of 4.5 N-m ± 0.6 N-m (40 in-lbf ± 5 in-lbf). Improper torque or uneven surface mating will degrade both frequency response and data precision.
