Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 190501-04-99-00 is a specific build of the Velomitor CT (Cooling Tower) Velocity Transducer, an industrial-grade piezo-velocity sensor engineered to capture low-frequency casing vibrations.The Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Its design specifically measures casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpm typical).

A:The Velomitor CT is optimized for low-speed machinery operating in wet, harsh conditions. It is widely used to monitor vibration in cooling towers, air-cooled heat exchangers, and industrial fan assemblies.
Q:How should this sensor be mounted?
A:It must be installed on a clean, flat 33 mm (1.3 in) diameter mounting surface. Utilizing the integrated 99-option adapter stud, you must tighten the unit to a precise mounting torque of 4.5 N-m ± 0.6 N-m (40 in-lbf ± 5 in-lbf). Improper torquing will introduce false high-frequency feedback or signal loss.

Q:Can I calibrate this transducer in the field?
A:Yes, using a portable vibration calibrator. Because the 190501 tracks low frequencies, you must run an automated frequency sweep (testing at 600, 300, 180, and 120 cpm) and allow the shaker table extra time to settle at low speeds before checking the millivolt output against its target specs.
