Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 190501-02-00-04 is a Velomitor CT (cooling tower) velocity sensor manufactured by Baker Hughes. This sensor is specifically designed to measure the low-frequency casing vibration velocity of low-speed equipment such as cooling towers and air-cooled heat exchanger fans.The Velomitor CT velocity sensor is a low-frequency version of the standard Velomitor piezoelectric velocity sensor, specifically optimized for measuring the casing vibration velocity of cooling tower and air-cooled heat exchanger fan assemblies. It is suitable for equipment with speeds not lower than 90 rpm (typically 100–300 rpm). This sensor can not only measure the vibration amplitude within this speed range but also effectively capture the vibration frequency generated by the fan motor and reducer.

A:The recommended mounting torque is 4.5 N-m ± 0.6 N-m (40 in-lbf ± 5 in-lbf) onto a smooth, flat mounting surface with a minimum diameter of 33 mm (1.3 in).
Q:What type of cabling and connector does it require?
A:It features a 2-pin MIL-C-5015 top connector interface. It connects using a twisted, shielded two-wire cable (such as 20 AWG with a splash-proof locking ring). Pin A serves as the positive terminal and Pin B as the negative terminal.

Q:How does the "CT" version differ from a standard Velomitor?
A:The CT version is a low-frequency optimized sensor. A standard 330500 Velomitor filters out very low speeds, whereas the 190501 tracks lower frequencies down to 1.5 Hz or 3.0 Hz to detect imbalances in massive, slow-moving fan blades.
