Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 177230-00-01-CN is an integrated loop-powered seismic vibration transmitter, while the Bently Nevada 16925-33 is a 33-foot (10-meter) unarmoured 3-wire interconnect cable used to hook up acceleration systems and vibration sensors.The 177230 Seismic Transmitter is a simple, loop-powered device that can be quickly and easily installed. It can be integrated into your programmable logic controller (PLC) or controls system linked to a plant asset condition monitoring solution. Its simple design reduces training, maintenance, and service costs. The transducer helps you better manage downtime, optimize maintenance planning, and avoid unforeseen catastrophic failures of machinery assets.
Application:
General-Purpose Pumps & Motors: Protects auxiliary product transfer pumps, injection pumps, and the electric motors driving them.
Small Compressors: Deployed on non-critical reciprocating or screw compressors used for plant air or low-pressure gas processing.
Centrifuges & Mixers: Identifies unbalance or bearing wear during harsh chemical processing cycles

Q:Can the 16925-33 cable be wired directly to the 177230 transmitter?
A:No. The 177230 transmitter uses a standard two-wire loop-power termination or its own dedicated 177232 connector cable assembly. The 16925 cable family is engineered specifically for 3-wire acceleration systems, such as the 330400 or 330425 Accelerometers.
Q:How should the cable shielding be handled during installation?
A:The shield should be grounded at only one end (typically at the control system panel or monitor rack terminal blocks). Grounding both ends can cause ground loops, injecting electrical noise into your vibration data.
Q:What terminations are on either end of the cable?
A:The Bently Nevada 16925 Interconnect Cable comes with a 3-socket plug at one end (to attach directly to the sensor housing) and terminal lugs at the opposite end for terminal block connection.
