Product Description:

The TC-801-02-4M5 Trusted I/O Companion Slot Cable is designed for use with the T8442 Speed Monitor module and is required for connections to a T8846 Speed Input FTA and up to three T8891 Speed Output FTAs. Both the -02 and -03 versions of this cable are internal, low smoke zero halogen types, and there is no SmartSlot version available. The chassis end of the multi-core cable is fitted with a 96-way type ‘C’ connector housed in a double-width hood. The opposite ends of the cable are fitted with six 20-way screw-fit 3.5 mm pitch female header connectors; three connectors interface with the T8846, while one connector is assigned to each T8891. The cable is only available with three T8891 tails in the arrangement shown in the figure above.

The TC-801-02-4M5 cables are assembled from individual cores and screened twisted pairs, shrouded in nylon Megamide sheathing. The ends of the sheathing are fitted with heat-shrink sleeving to help prevent fraying. At the chassis end, a sheathed braid allows the connector hood to be wired to safety earth.
