Description

The ABB CPS01 switching power supply delivers a stable 24 V DC output for industrial control systems, automation equipment, and electrical control cabinets. A wide AC/DC input range allows the unit to operate under different mains supply conditions worldwide, eliminating the need for manual voltage selection. Operating with an efficiency of up to 94%, it helps reduce power losses while limiting heat generation inside the control cabinet, contributing to improved operating efficiency. For applications that require additional output during startup or short-term overloads, the CP-S01 series provides a Power Reserve capability of 150% rated output power for up to 5 seconds. This extra capacity is useful when equipment experiences temporary inrush current or increased load demand. The power supply is also equipped with active power factor correction (PFC), overtemperature protection, and a coated printed circuit board (PCB), features that contribute to dependable performance in industrial operating environments. The compact housing is intended for installation on a standard DIN rail, making efficient use of cabinet space while allowing straightforward installation and servicing. The unit is specified for ambient temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. It can be connected in parallel when additional output current is required and can also be used in redundant power configurations together with compatible ABB CP-C.1 redundancy modules and CP-B buffer modules.
