Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 9200-02-05-10-00 is a two-wire, moving-coil Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer used to measure absolute casing, bearing housing, or structural vibration on rotating machinery. Bently Nevada™ Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systems are designed to measure absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The two-wire systems consist of a transducer and appropriate cable. The Seismoprobe family of velocity transducers is a two-wire design that uses moving-coil technology. It provides a voltage output directly proportional to the transducer's vibration velocity.

Industrial Fans and Blowers: Monitors for aerodynamic instability, structural fatigue, blade deposits, and rotational unbalance.
Centrifugal Pumps: Tracks bearing degradation, hydraulic imbalances, shaft misalignments, and fluid cavitation issues.
Electric Motors: Identifies mechanical looseness, broken rotor bars, and rolling-element bearing faults.
Small to Mid-Sized Turbines: Serves as a reliable, cost-effective alternative to displacement probes for non-critical casing monitoring in simple utility environments.

Q:Why is the mounting angle (02) critical?
A:Moving-coil sensors contain an internal mass suspended by springs. The 02 calibration is physically optimized to cancel out the force of gravity only when tilted at 45 degrees. Installing this sensor horizontally (0°) or vertically (90°) will cause the internal coil to rest off-center, severely distorting data.
Q:What is the electrical sensitivity of this transducer?
A:The standard scale factor is 20 mV/mm/s (500 mV/in/s) ±5% when the unit is properly terminated and aligned to its 45-degree angle of calibration.
Q:How does moving-coil technology differ from solid-state sensors?
A:Unlike piezo-velocity sensors (which embed integration electronics inside an accelerometer), moving-coil sensors are self-generating and require no external power. They are significantly less sensitive to impact or sudden impulsive shocks, which helps avoid false trip readings in aggressive physical environments.
