Product Description:

The Bently Nevada 9200-01-01 (often associated with part revision or internal number 84661-12) is a legacy, two-wire Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer used to measure absolute casing, structural, or bearing housing vibration on rotating machinery. It operates on moving-coil technology, making it entirely self-powered and uniquely suited for both continuous monitoring and portable diagnostic tests.
Bently Nevada™ Seismoprobe Velocity Transducer Systems are designed to measure absolute (relative to free space) bearing housing, casing, or structural vibration. The two-wire systems consist of a transducer and appropriate cable.

Application:

Power Generation Plants: Continuous casing and bearing housing vibration monitoring on medium-speed industrial gas turbines, steam turbines, and large backup diesel generators.
Water and Wastewater Treatment: Used heavily on large vertical water pumps, wastewater agitators, and fluid-handling machinery where structural casing twists are common.

Q:Does this transducer require external power?
A:No. The moving-coil architecture creates its own voltage loop as the internal coil moves through a permanent magnetic field. This self-powered nature eliminates the need for external power supplies, making it ideal for field diagnostics.

Q:What is the maximum allowable cable length?
A:The maximum distance between the 9200 Seismoprobe and a Bently Nevada 3500 or 3300 monitoring system is 305 meters (1,000 feet). Exceeding this distance causes high-frequency signal attenuation.
