Product Description:

The 3300 NSv probe and 330930-040-05-CN 3300 NSv Extension Cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada’s previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable. The NSv probe has increased chemical resistance compared to the 3300 RAM probe, which allows its use in many process compressor applications. The side-view characteristics of the 3300 NSv probe are also superior to those of the 3000-series 190 probe when gapping the 3300 NSv probe at the same distance from the probe target.

Oil & Gas: Monitoring process compressors in demanding or corrosive environments.
Power Generation: Supporting monitoring systems for turbines and generators, particularly in power plant projects.
Chemical Processing: Ensuring machinery reliability in chemically aggressive industrial conditions.
Process and Centrifugal Compressors: It is ideal for centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, and small process gas compressors. Its FEP insulation provides resistance to chemicals common in these process environments.

Q:Which sensor system uses this extension cable?
A:It is designed exclusively for the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. You cannot mix this cable with standard Bently Nevada 5 mm, 8 mm, or 11 mm 3300 XL systems, as their physical clearances and electrical tunings differ.
Q:Can I use this to replace older legacy components?
A:Yes. The 3300 XL NSv system is backward-compatible and engineered to cleanly replace older legacy 3300 RAM Transducer Systems, as well as the 3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducers.

Q:Do I need specialized tools to hook up the connector?
A:No. The cable features integrated miniature coaxial connectors. It includes factory-installed connector protectors (-05 option) that prevent physical damage or contamination from moisture and oil during field deployment.
