Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 330909-00-40-05-02-05 is a 3300 XL NSv (Narrow Side View) Proximity Probe for non-contact vibration and displacement monitoring in compact machinery spaces. It operates as part of an eddy-current transducer system to deliver precise machinery health analytics.The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).

Centrifugal Air and Gas Compressors: Extensively utilized in small, high-speed centrifugal compressors where physical space around the internal bearings is heavily restricted.

Q:What target material is it calibrated to out of the box?
A:The transducer system comes standard-calibrated to AISI 4140 steel. If your equipment shaft is constructed from alternate metals (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum), custom calibration must be specified or adjusted at the factory.
Q:Can I connect this probe directly to any extension cable?
A:No. The NSv probe must be paired exclusively with a matching 3300 XL NSv Extension Cable and a 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor. Mixing components from standard 3300 XL 5 mm or 8 mm series will disrupt calibrations and yield inaccurate electrical readings.
Q:What is the linear range and scale factor of this model?
A:The 3300 XL NSv system features a linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils). The industry-standard Average Scale Factor (ASF) is 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil).
