Product Description:

The 330103-00-06-05-02-02 provides an output voltage that is directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface and can measure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. The system’s primary applications are vibration and position measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, as well as Keyphasor reference and speed measurements3.

Q:What is the standard target material for this probe?
A:The system is factory-calibrated by default to AISI 4140 steel. Measuring alternative metals (such as aluminum or stainless steel) alters the eddy-current properties and requires a custom-calibrated Proximitor sensor.
Q:What is the expected electrical output of this sensor?
A:The system outputs a linear analog voltage with an Average Scale Factor (ASF) of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) over its 2.0 mm (80 mil) linear sensing range.

Q:Can I tighten the ClickLoc connectors with pliers?
A:No separate matching or bench calibration is required. The 3300XL 8mm system supports complete interchangeability of the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor. Factory default calibration is to AISI 4140 steel target material; calibration to other target materials requires special ordering.The probe features a built-in Viton O-ring seal to hold back differential pressure between the tip and the casing. However, Bently Nevada does not pressure-test standard probes prior to shipment; custom testing must be ordered if liquid or gas containment is a critical concern.
