Product Description:
The Bently Nevada 190501-23-00-01 is a Velomitor CT (Cooling Tower) Velocity Transducer, a specialized low-frequency version of the standard 330500 sensor. It is primarily engineered to measure casing vibration velocity on cooling towers and air-cooled heat exchangers operating at or above 90 RPM.The Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequency version of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Its design specifically measures casing vibration velocity on cooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fan assemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpm typical).

Oil & Gas Refining & Petrochemical: Protects large critical fin-fan heat exchangers and cooling infrastructures within explosive or hazardous gas zones.
Power Generation: Used on cooling tower arrays for coal-fired, combined-cycle, and nuclear power plant utility blocks.
Chemical & Fertilizer Plants: Provides continuous condition monitoring on process cooling systems exposed to corrosive elements.
Pulp & Paper / Mining: Monitors heavy-duty industrial slow-speed fans and process equipment prone to massive structural stresses.

Q:How is this device calibrated?
A:Due to its low-frequency design, standard high-frequency shakers cannot verify its performance. It must be checked using a low-frequency portable vibration calibrator (such as a Modal Shop 9210) capable of sweeping down to 1.5 Hz to accurately verify the steep low-end frequency roll-off.
Q:Does this sensor require external power?
A:Yes, it is a loop-powered device that requires an external constant-current source, typically provided directly by your vibration monitor interface module (such as a Bently Nevada 3500/42M or 2300 series monitor).
Q:What is the core difference between this and a standard Velomitor?
A:The "CT" designation stands for Cooling Tower. Unlike standard velocity sensors that roll off around 10 Hz, the 190501 series is optimized for low-frequency applications. It accurately measures down to 1.5 Hz (90 CPM), capturing the slow rotational frequencies typical of large cooling tower fans and their gearboxes.
