Specifically designed for the Mark VIe controller, the CompactPCI (CPCI) control module rack serves as a protective housing, housing the Mark VIe controller, power supply unit(s), and a cooling fan.

The rack's backplane complies with the CompactPCI standard, primarily serving as a conduit for delivering power from the power supply unit(s) to the controller and the cooling fan. The CPCI power supply unit plays a crucial role by converting the incoming power into 12 V dc, 5 V dc, and 3.3 V dc. These voltage outputs are then distributed through the backplane to power the controller(s) and operate the fan efficiently, ensuring the proper functioning of the Mark VIe system
