The GE IS200VCMIH2BCD/IS215VCMIH2BC is a Bus Master Controller Board developed by GE. It is a part of the Mark VI control system. VCMI serves as a communication link within the control system architecture, facilitating seamless interaction between the controller, I/O boards, and the system control network, referred to as IONet. Acting as both a communication interface and a VME bus master, the VCMI assumes central control over data exchange and management within the control and I/O racks.
In addition to its communication and bus master functions, the GE IS200VCMIH2BCD/IS215VCMIH2BC is equipped with 32 Kbytes of dual-port memory, enabling fast and efficient data sharing between system components.The GE IS200VCMIH2BCD/IS215VCMIH2BC also includes a serial communication interface through 1 RS-232C port (D-Sub 9-pin), which allows for local configuration, diagnostics, and maintenance access.
