IC755CSS15CDA-AA is a 15 inch QuickPanel operator interface manufactured by GE Fanuc Intelligent Platform for its Quick Panel family of industrial interface machines. Windows Embedded Compact 7 is the recommended operating system for this unit. OS is stored in flash memory and copied to a block of DRAM for execution. Windows starts soon after the unit is powered up or reset. The IC755CSS15CDA-AA is a full 32-bit O/S with a graphical user interface (GUI).

The IC755CSS15CDA-AA operator interface is an all-in-one microcomputer designed for maximum flexibility. It has a high-resolution touchscreen with several communication ports making it easy to connect and be used with most industrial equipment. The unit is able to meet even the most demanding applications in today’s market due to ease of connectivity.

Other features of IC755CSS15CDA-AA include a section of DRAM shared between the operating system, application memory, and the object store; shared non-volatile flash memory that functions as a virtual hard drive; and retentive memory that is comprised of battery-backed SRAM used for additional data storage. SRAM protects valuable data in the absence of power. The unit’s Ethernet port has two LED indicators that indicate speed and link activity.

Backup utility is another necessary due to the fact that the IC755CSS15CDA-AA is not battery powered. Backup utility is, therefore, required to save changes made to the Windows registry to flash memory.The IC755CSS15CDA-AA should be installed in a well-ventilated place free from dust and direct sunlight.
