Full Description:	GE IC697ADC701 Coprocessor Module The IC697ADC701 Alphanumeric Display Coprocessor Module or ADC module belongs to the Series 90-70 PLC CPU product line that has been designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc. It comes with a CIMPLYCITY 90 display and it is compatible with the GE Fanuc operator interface terminals and the VT100 compatible terminals such as the optiTOUCH terminal, the TERMF terminal, and the Workmaster II terminal.

The IC697ADC701 Alphanumeric Display Coprocessor Module or ADC module belongs to the Series 90-70 PLC CPU product line that has been designed and manufactured by GE Fanuc. It comes with a CIMPLYCITY 90 display and it is compatible with the GE Fanuc operator interface terminals and the VT100 compatible terminals such as the optiTOUCH terminal, the TERMF terminal, and the Workmaster II terminal. It communicates with PLCs through the backplane of the PLC system. The Series 90-70 GE PLCs can handle multiple ADC modules in a single system if they are all located on the main rack or on expansion racks. The IC697ADC701 Alphanumeric Display Coprocessor Module can also connect and communicate with PCs in which the PCM development software is installed.
The IC697ADC701 Alphanumeric Display Coprocessor Module has 2 serial ports for communication. These ports have RS-323 and RS-422/RS-485 compatibility. The PCM Development software is used to configure CIMPLICITY 90 software on this module while eliminating the need to use a DIP switch or jumper for configuration. Make sure to configure the module with Logicmaster 90 software or configuration control software before using it. The IC697ADC701 ADC module has 3 status indicator LEDs on its faceplate. The “MODULE OK” LED on the top informs the users about the status of the module. The other 2 LEDs are the “PORT I” and “PORT II” LEDs that show the connectivity of the serial ports. The module also has a pushbutton which is helpful for software configuration and control. Some of the pushbutton functions include restarting the module or resetting it to the factory default mode. It comes with a memory backup battery that saves the user memory even when the power is removed. Its serial ports are dedicated to efficient operation in applications such as connecting to a PC or a printer.
